My IAR Story

I've been a volunteer with Independent Animal Rescue for 10 years. I've fostered kittens, trained new foster parents, coordinated the volunteers at Petco, photographed many of our gorgeous cats and dogs, and joined the board of directors. I've been honored to serve as vice president for the past year.

IAR adopts out more than 400 cats and 200 dogs each year and fixes more than 1,500 feral cats annually.

In 2018, I adopted a 1 year old toothless tuxedo cat named David from IAR. He's now almost 4 and still acts like a wild and crazy kitten. He is sweet, hilarious, and keeps us laughing every day!
