Hello, My Name is Wesley Akyea, I am a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Aurora IL.

As a member of the 2022 confirmation class, I am challenged to make a positive impact in my community by organizing a meaningful and sustainable community action. Food Insecurity is one of the issues that affect communities all over the world including communities right here in Illinois.

As a result, I have chosen to do something about this for my community by organizing a fundraising event for Northern Illinois Food Bank. This organization is doing so much in our community by providing sustainable meals for families right here who need food assistance.

Please join me in making a difference in the lives of the thousands of people in Northern Illinois who are hungry. The funds I raise will stay right here, in our backyard, and will fill an empty plate of a neighbor in need.

Your Donation Makes an Impact:

+ Every $1 donated helps provide $8 worth of groceries for neighbors in need

+ 97% of the Food Bank's resources go to programs that feed neighbors in need

+ The Food Bank serves 13 counties in Northern Illinois, providing the equivalent of nearly 220,000 meals each day
