Pediatric cancer and other cancers have touched my life. In high school, I had a good friend and football teammate who not once but twice beat pediatric cancer and was able to get back on the football field his senior year. Now this is not about pediatric cancer but cancer just the same. My aunt battled ovarian cancer for 19 years until she was just too tired to fight any more. She passed a last year during football season on 9/22/22 and this is why I wear something teal during every game in her honor. Also one of my grandfathers was taken away from me by cancer before I ever had a chance to know him. These people are the reason raising money to fight cancer is important to me. Cancer is scary for any age, but I can't imagine being a child having to fight this big battle. Let's do this together and help end pediatric cancer and one day all the other cancers!
