About the Day of the Girl Walk for Girls and Water
Join us for WomenServe's first ever VIRTUAL Walk for Girls and Water, a 10-day fundraising event and walk, to raise awareness, give water, and help change HER life.
We've canceled our annual in-person event but we're excited to instead ask you to join us to walk in unity with women and girls who trek up to 10 hours each day to collect water in Western Rajasthan, India, where we serve. These same women and girls continue to walk despite the global pandemic, placing them and their families at great risk.
Join us for 10 days, 10 walks (or other acts) for the 10 hours that she walks every day. Register, choose a fundraising goal, get started and change her life with us.
Participating is done in 3 simple steps:
2. Choose your fundraising goal
3. Walk and share
Don't want to walk? No problem. you can pick any activity you’d like to support our women and girls—paint, teach someone something, write, run, hike, meditate—whatever you like. We welcome participants to do as much as they are able and raise funds based on whatever goal they set.
During the event, walk, share, fundraise and earn fun prizes!

WHY GIRLS AND WATER?
ABOUT THE DAY OF THE GIRL
In honor of the United Nations holiday, International Day of the Girl Child, WomenServe launched our first annual Day of the Girl celebration and benefit in 2019. Our goal: celebrate the power of girls, and raise awareness for the challenges they face. Taking place on two sides of the world – Sonoma County, California, and Rajasthan, India, over 500 people gathered for our flagship event.
WomenServe is a registered 501(c)3 public nonprofit. WomenServe seeks to unlock the potential of women and girls in Western Rajasthan, India by increasing access to water, health & hygiene, education, and economic empowerment.
