Why #IWalkForGirlsAndWater I began my journey for WomenServe 13 years ago as a project to bring water to female farmers in the Thar Desert of India, one of the hottest deserts in the world. Since then, friends and supporters have helped us change the lives of over 25,000 people by bringing access to water, health and hygiene, education, and economic empowerment. And we won’t stop there. This year is harder than ever, and is having a disproportionate impact on girls and women. Since COVID-19 began, girls and women around the world have struggled, and more so than ever in the communities where we work in Rajasthan. Water can change everything, and we can help.
