I began volunteering with the Centre for Mindfulness Studies in 2015. I was interested in volunteering because of the innovative approach they were taking to ensure mindfulness programs for depression, anxiety, and stress were available to those most in need. Especially, those that have little or no support to access a very complicated system to find mental health services. A place where people feel safe, heard and supported wherever they are at.
The Centre's programs have reached more than 20,000 people and have had a real impact. In 2018 I began working with Centre and have firsthand heard from participants about how our programs truly changed their lives. It has been my greatest reward working at the Centre to know what we do really is helping people.
We have not done it alone and the support of people like you has and continues to make a difference.
