All around us we are seeing the effect of inadequate mental health services for the most needy in Toronto. Violent behaviour on our streets and transit system are one extreme example.
Did you know that 1 in 3 Canadians will be affected by a mental illness during their lifetime, and most of them struggle to get the help they need?
That’s why we are raising money for the Centre for Mindfulness Studies’ Bursary Program, which offers free mindfulness-based therapies to those who cannot afford to get help or are facing systemic barriers.
I’m excited to participate in Mindfulness Challenge 2023, a 3-hour meditate-a-thon to raise money for mindfulness programs that help underserved individuals suffering from mental health issues like depression and anxiety.
Would you be willing to donate and help me reach our fundraising goal?
Your donation will help people like Jaime and Gosia, who have already benefited from this program. Here’s what they had to say:
“I absolutely loved the program. After just two months, I felt big improvements in my anxiety levels and my perspective around difficult emotions. I’m very grateful because I was on a scholarship and couldn’t pay for it otherwise. This course changes lives. Thank you!”
-Jaime, MBCT Bursary Participant
“If you feel nothing changes in your life, and you have done everything you can, the practice will help you see your own aversions to things that are hard to look at on your own. All you need is safety and guidance, and that is what the Centre provides, guidance to your own self-growth.”
-Gosia, MBSR Bursary Participant
Thank you so much for your support!
