VBCF offers individualized resource coordination; breast health education; support kits for newly diagnosed patients, caregivers, and survivors; advocacy for improved health public policy and research dollars for the state; and funding for the Southwest Virginia Screening and Diagnostic Fund. This fund was established in 2022 and has provided more than 1,040 patients with almost 1,950 tests, resulting in 30 diagnoses treated in Southwest Virginia through partnerships with Augusta Health, Carilion Roanoke and Franklin, Centra Health, and Lewis Gale Pulaski, Hospitals.
