I have joined the Fight Against Cancer this year after I lost my dad after a year long battle to prostate cancer. For those who knew my dad, he spent his entire life caring for others, whether it be his patients or his 10 kids. My dad was one of the most selfless people I have ever met. Even in his final weeks, after his illness had forced him to retire from what he loved doing, he wanted to go back to work 'a few days a week' to help his patients. 

He didn't get the chance to go back to work, and for a man that dedicated his life to helping others, I want to honor him by raising funds for Golf Fights Cancer. My dad loved golf and just started getting back into it right before he got sick. He loved hearing about my rounds on the course, and always wanted me and my siblings to continue to pursue the sport.

While I play in honor of my dad, everyone is affected by cancer in their lifetime one way or another. Having watched the battle my dad went through, everyone deserves a fighting chance against such a brutal disease and this is why I am excited to join close friends to raise money for such a great cause.
