My Bank of America Chicago Marathon Journey

Hello, all! I'm thrilled to return to the marathon distance in October 2022 at the Chicago Marathon! My family and I have had an exceptionally challenging year, and through community organizations and support from so many people, we were able to land on our feet. Through this experience, I have felt more compelled to give back to others in as many ways as I can, and the opportunity to run and raise funds for the Northern Illinois Food Bank at the Chicago Marathon could not be a more perfect way to give back to a community.

 

The Food Bank has been responding to the increased need in our communities, which remains elevated due to the effects of COVID-19. In their latest fiscal year (July 2020-June 2021), the Food Bank has helped provide over 100 million meals to the community.

 

Please join me in making a difference in the lives of the thousands of people in Northern Illinois who are hungry. We know that COVID has increased the hunger crisis, and this money will go directly back into the community.

 

Your Donation Makes an Impact:

  + Every $1 donated helps provide $8 worth of groceries for neighbors in need

  + 97% of the Food Bank's resources go to programs that feed neighbors in need

  + The Food Bank serves 13 counties in Northern Illinois, providing the equivalent of nearly 220,000 meals each day
