My Marathon Journey

I used to dislike running...a lot!  I would dread running the required 2 miles for my high school soccer team.  

 

Since then, I've found a great group of friends that have inspired me to run 5ks and half marathons.  Two years ago, I set a personal goal to run a marathon before I turn 40 (I can't believe it's getting close).  This will be the year I accomplish that goal...with your help!

 

I'm thrilled to partner with the Northern Illinois Food Bank on this goal.  Ensuring that every family, every child has access to filling, nutritional meals is vital - and the Food Bank makes that a reality. 

 

The Food Bank has been responding to the increased need in our communities, which remains elevated due to the effects of COVID-19. In their latest fiscal year (July 2020-June 2021), the Food Bank has helped provide over 100 million meals to the community.

 

Please join me in making a difference in the lives of the thousands of people in Northern Illinois who are hungry. The funds I raise will stay right here, in our backyard, and will fill an empty plate of a hungry neighbor. 

 

Your Donation Makes an Impact:

  + Every $1 donated helps provide $8 worth of groceries for neighbors in need

  + 97% of the Food Bank's resources go to programs that feed neighbors in need

  + The Food Bank serves 13 counties in Northern Illinois, providing the equivalent of nearly 220,000 meals each day
