My Chicago Marathon Journey

One Piece At A Time

This is my first go at running 26.2 miles. It's not going to be easy, but we can do hard things; one piece at a time.

I'm finding inspiration through perspiration. I saw my wife, Rachael cross the same finish line last year while supporting the same great organization. I saw my Dad, Pat, redefine the meaning of strength as he fought to be a postive force in his world in the face of great adversity and I see my Mom, Joann doing the same thing everyday. I saw my kiddos watching their mom do a hard thing and see that it was possible. I saw my family rally for eachother time and time again.

So now it's my turn...

For my Chicago Marathon journey I've decided to link arms with Northern Illinois Food Bank to race towards a future where every neighbor has the food they need to thrive.

Please join me in making a difference in the lives of the thousands of people in Northern Illinois who are hungry. The funds I raise will stay right here, in our backyard, and will fill an empty plate of a hungry neighbor. 

 

Your Donation Makes an Impact:

  + Every $1 donated helps provide $8 worth of groceries for neighbors in need

  + 97% of the Food Bank's resources go to programs that feed neighbors in need

  + The Food Bank serves 13 counties in Northern Illinois, providing the equivalent of nearly 220,000 meals each day
