My Bank of America Chicago Marathon Journey

In 2021, I completed my first 26.2 mile race having completed the TCS NYC marathon.  What made it even more special was the fact that it was my first marathon and I completed it during the 50th year for both myself and the race itself.  It was a memorable personal experience and what made it even more special was my ability to partner with an amazing charity and raise funds for a cause I truly believe in.   I'm glad to share that I was recently admitted into the 2022 BoA Chicago Marathon and I feel priviliged to be able to continue that journey.

For my Chicago Marathon journey, I've decided to link arms with Northern Illinois Food Bank to race towards a future where every neighbor has the food they need to thrive.  I have been a volunteer with the Northeast New York Food Bank now for more than a year and know first hand the impact this organization can have on it's community.  

The Food Bank has been responding to the increased need in our communities, which remains elevated due to the effects of COVID-19. In their latest fiscal year (July 2020-June 2021), the Food Bank has helped provide over 100 million meals to the community.

 

Please join me in making a difference in the lives of the thousands of people in Northern Illinois who are hungry. The funds I raise will stay right here, in our backyard, and will fill an empty plate of a hungry neighbor. 

 

Your Donation Makes an Impact:

  + Every $1 donated helps provide $8 worth of groceries for neighbors in need

  + 97% of the Food Bank's resources go to programs that feed neighbors in need

  + The Food Bank serves 13 counties in Northern Illinois, providing the equivalent of nearly 220,000 meals each day
