My boy Leroy is an HSC Alumni and also a hero. Not all hero's wear capes, for me, mine wore fur in a meatball shaped body.

It's been one year now since Patch has been gone. One long, strange, rollercoaster year. I didn't realize how much my heart needed to be salvaged from the heartbreak until Leroy came into my life. On that fateful day in late June, Leroy was paired with me in my office to get a little break from all the commotion since he was a senior dog and a medical hot mess. I immediately found the biggest bed, the warmest blanket and the best treats to spoil him for the day.

When I got home that evening, I couldn't stop thinking about this old sweet Pitty that made me feel something again since Patch's passing. I decided to foster him so he could get out of the shelter for a little bit and help with his medical needs. Well needless to say, it didn't take long for Leroy to go from a foster to forever family member.
