I’m Raising + Riding for Phoenix Bikes  and I’d love your support!

I’m riding Raisin’ Ride: Sizzling Summer Century to support Phoenix Bikes, an nonprofit that gives youth a place to learn, work, ride, and belong.

Phoenix Bikes is not just a bike shop. It is a place where youth build bikes, fix bikes, earn bikes, ride with a team, learn from mentors, and gain confidence along the way.

I love this mission because it is practical and powerful. A bike becomes the way in. From there, youth are learning mechanics, teamwork, responsibility, problem solving, and leadership. Those are skills that carry well beyond the shop.

Raisin’ Ride helps keep Phoenix Bikes’ youth programs free and accessible. Your donation supports staff, youth instructors, internships, shop programs, and more chances for young people to build something with their own hands and see what they are capable of.

Phoenix Bikes is more than just a shop. It’s a third space where teens:
Earn a bike and give a bike
 Learn bike mechanics, teamwork, and leadership
Get outside and discover their power and purpose

They’re also one of the few early, voluntary workforce readiness programs, helping teens build skills and confidence before they fall behind.

But here’s the challenge:
⚠️ Youth demand is outpacing staff capacity
⚠️ They are currently serving 40 youth per 1 staff in the shop
⚠️ Without more funding, they may have to turn kids away
