"Dawn to Dusk Run/Walk for Kids" Team Captain Page

Running/walking all day for Club Kids & Supporting BGC Mercer!!!!!

Dear Friends and Family,

I need your help and support!! I am so excited to be participating in the 2020 Run for Club Kids by being the captain of a team of wonderful people commited to do an all day relay style run/walk that will take place in the CP South walking/jogging trail in Princeton. This relay style will enable us to run/walk while being able to adhere by all the COVID-19 CDC guidelines.

Our team is committed to run/walk all day on Saturday October 25th, to raise funds to benefit the the Boys & Girls Clubs of Mercer County.  Every dollar raised by this event will directly benefit a child or teen in need of financial assistance to be able to attend Club programs. Join me and make a difference!  This year it is especially critical to raise funds as the Club has been under financial pressure because of all the COVID-19 related protocols that had to be put in place to ensure the kids we serve are safe and healthy.

I care greatly about youth, their safety and development.  Unfortunately, not all youth in our county have equal access to programs and services to keep them safe and provide them access to caring adults.  Young people are at the greatest risk of being a victim of crime between the hours of 3 pm and 8 pm, however, most at-risk youth don’t have access to after school programs due to an inability to pay for these services.  The Boys & Girls Clubs provides after school programs to over 500 children and teens each day and never turns a child away based on ability to pay.  These programs support each child’s educational, leadership and overall youth development.

As a team we plan to raise $7,000 (of which I personally plan to raise $5,500 of that amount) to help Club kids gain access to programs that provide tools to help them succeed and to reach their full potential.  Club programs focus on enhancing youth’s education, career and leadership skills so that they are far more likely to graduate from high school and enter into a post-secondary school placement.  High school seniors who attend the Boys & Girls Club have a better than 90% graduation rate, and 95% of seniors go on to post-secondary placement.

I have already made my donation and have made the commitment to train and run (walk!!) in this event. Please consider making a donation (no amount is too small) so that we can help change the lives of Trenton area youth.  Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support our fundraising efforts. But if you would prefer sending a check, please make it to "The Boys & Girls Clubs of Mercer County" and send it to:

Thank you for considering this request to join my effort to help Club Kids succeed.  I plan to keep you updated on my fundraising progress.

Kind regards,

Zoubir.
