ABOUT PARKINSON FOUNDATION WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA
PFWPA has proudly been serving the local Parkinson’s community for over 30 years. Parkinson’s disease (PD) is the fastest growing neurological condition in the world. This region is considered a Parkinson’s “hot spot” due to demographics as well as environmental issues related to manufacturing, mining and agriculture. PFWPA has been an essential resource for support services, activity programs and education for individuals experiencing Parkinson’s, their care partners, and health professionals since 1995, serving 22 counties in western and central Pennsylvania.
There is currently no cure for Parkinson’s. Until a cure is found, we will be here to help support those with PD regain confidence, have access to valuable resources and programming, and be welcomed into our community. Our goal is to make everyone impacted by this disease feel supported and heard. We can’t do it without your help! PFWPA does not receive government assistance. Every dollar raised stays in our local community.
Step Forward and help me raise funds so PFWPA can continue to offer valuable programming, events, webinars, and resources for the local Parkinson’s community.
