The whole family is taking steps to improve our own sleep by participating in the virtual My Very Own Bed’s Steps for Sleep - a community wellness event on Saturday, September 13  Physical exercise improves our sleep, and sleep helps us perform better and improves our overall health.

We are also taking steps to support kids' healthy sleep by fundraising for My Very Own Bed, a 501(c)(3) non-profit that provides new beds and Dream Kits (bedding, book, and stuffed animal) to children who need them - most of whom have recently moved out of homelessness into more stable housing. The kids receiving beds of their own have been sleeping on the floor or an air mattress or sharing a bed with a parent or sibling. In their new beds, they are sleeping better, which, in turn, helps them heal, grow, and thrive.

Parker will do his walk around campus at CSU and the rest of us will be walking around our neighborhood up to Pershing Park to watch The Anchormen perform in the Fulton Fall Festival.
