Racing for Team Tisch MS!
What TTMS means to Danielle:
It was ten years ago when I received the call about my cousin being in the hospital and my family waiting and wondering what would have caused this sudden change in his usually very energetic lifestyle. Scott was actively coaching the local boys’ ice hockey team and constantly out running or pushing himself physically. After hearing that he had collapsed without any explanation, it was cause for worry among his family and friends. It was months later was when Scott was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.
Throughout recent years, I have seen how much MS impacts Scott’s life. He is constantly learning and adapting to what works best for him and his body. His determination and commitment to living his life to the fullest, while tackling each new hurdle with MS is inspiring. Scott’s wife and two children help keep his focus on track and forward looking. Both young children are involved in different sports and are always trying new fun activities, with Scott encouraging them every step of the way!
Now, I would like to take a turn to help support Scott and his disease by fundraising for a cause that is so very important to him. Knowing the challenges that Scott faces each day living with MS has inspired me to ask myself how can I help, and how can I challenge myself. Please support me and Team Tisch MS as I train and prepare to run my first marathon this fall in NYC. I will provide updates at the date approaches. I will also be committing to smaller races as stepping stones towards the TCS NYC Marathon on November 2nd, 2019!
Please help me reach my fundraising goal, every donation makes a meaningful difference to those with MS in their lives.
