For those who don't know, VOCEL is a local non-profit in Chicago, Illinois. Founded to bring exemplary education opportunities to underserved communities in Chicago, VOCEL helps kids develop self regulation, language, social skills, and cognition. Our innovative take on early learning is rooted in language development, parent coaching and an open, intentional teaching style. Through inquiry and play, children develop essential communication competencies, executive functions and interpersonal skills, while caregivers gain the knowledge, tools and support they need to help their children thrive.

I am passionate about VOCEL because I am a strong advocator for educational equity. Education is so important to the future of our existence. Additionally, it is the key to financial and social freedom of our society. Since moving to Chicago, I have learned so much about the Chicago Public School (CPS) education system and its' struggles. It is no surprise that education is the key to living a healthy lifestyle. With that said, I can't be more proud to be part of an organization that is helping solve one of Chicago's largest problems. Advancing our education system continues to make our world a smarter place, and increases the growth of future generations.
