As I watch the death toll climb from COVID, knowing that it all started because animals were and are brutally treated, tortured and slaughtered in "wet slaughter markets" in Asia and also that the horrific conditions on today's factory farms all over the world, including here in Canada, are feared by pharmaceutical companies as potential incubators for pathogens our antibiotics won't be able to touch- I know that something has to be done about the way we are treating animals these days.  80% of the world's antibiotics are used by factory farms because feeding livestock constant antibiotics is the only way they can keep stressed, miserable and suffering animals alive and gaining weight.  If our antibiotics fail because of superbugs we create in factory farming, think how many people will die.  If the wet markets in Asia and the world illegal wildlife trade are not eradicated, even if we get through COVID, another one will be created.  So instead of fixing the problem, Ag-Gag laws seek to make sure all of you never, ever know about abuse and violations that threaten your health and cause millions of animals unspeakable suffering.  If we can get these laws struck down as unconstitutional, then we stand at least a small chance of fighting back against factory farms and the danger they pose to human health and the environment.  So add your rebel voice and sponsor me why don't ya.  :)
