The walk will exit Firemen’s Park heading west on Lee Street (Paul’s Neighborhood Bar), turning right or north on Parmenter Street turning right or east on Donna Drive (Hurts Donuts), turning right or south on Park Street (Kromrey Middle School), crossing south into Parisi Park, turning right on Maywood Avenue thru the Middleton High School grounds back to Firemen’s Park.
If you have any questions, please contact email@example.com or call our office at (414) 443 6400.
We have been working with the city of Middleton and with CDC recommendations to create a comprehensive COVID plan that will be in effect for this event. The goal of this plan is to keep all participants, volunteers, and staff as safe as possible. All our activities take place outdoors or under an open shelter. Highlights of this plan include:
Volunteers & staff: pre-event training to go over our COVID plan, including self-monitoring, on-site physicians and clinic staff, mask wearing, sanitizing of hands and surfaces, and social distance marking.
Participants: Masks and hand sanitizer will be provided to all participants and will be available throughout the park. Walk teams will be announced at the start of the race to provide spacing between walkers. Tables and tents in the park will be spaced to allow for distancing among groups.
For those of you who are not comfortable attending in-person, please consider registering virtually or doing our new curbside pick-up for your goodie bags (which include your t-shirts). Captains or a team representative can pick up their whole team’s t-shirts at this station, however you will need to let us know by Wednesday, September 22, so we can get those organized. Those who register virtually will receive an LFA koozie in the mail.
There is nothing that we want more than to have our normal celebration, with hundreds of lupus warriors and their supporters gathered to raise awareness and funds as we have before. We recognize that this is an extraordinary time, and want to provide the safest Walk to End Now – Madison experience possible. We cannot wait until we can all gather safely again. Until then, we will continue to do everything that we can to keep supporting all those affected by lupus and fighting for a cure. We hope that you will help us raise funds to continue our mission by registering and donating to the Walk to End Lupus Now – Madison.
