Maui Humane Society is throwing a slumber party with a twist! On April 29, the top fundraisers will be checking in to a luxury resort to treat a shelter dog to a VIP experience for the night!
I'm fundraising to be part of the event and while I plan to have a great time, I'm also supporting an organization that cares for almost 5000 animals a year. I hope you'll help me reach my goal!
Why I'm Fundraising for Maui Humane Society
I'm fundraising for Maui Humane Society because it's been my home for the past 5 years! I started out in customer service in the front office, then worked in the kennels for 4+ years. In the kennels is where I combined my relationships with the animals and my video/picture taking creativity. And now I have been in my new role at Maui Humane Society for almost a year, as the marketing storyteller. This role is where I feel like I am making the most impact I can in helping Maui's homeless animals. I spend all my days with the shelter animals getting to know them and to tell their stories in hopes of getting them adopted. My office always has a shelter dog who needs a break from their kennel. My truck always has fur all over it from the shelter dogs I take for car rides and outings. My clothes are always covered in slobber from all the kisses I get throughout the day. My hands always smell like beef/chicken from all the treats I give out in the day to get their pictures and videos. After all the time I spend with shelter animals on the daily, how cool would it be to spend a night in a luxury hotel with one of my shelter pals!?
