A Life Worth Living With DBT

The Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) is a treatment designed specifically for people with borderline personality disorder. DBT is a form of cognitive-behavioral therapy, and it includes mindfulness, validation, and acceptance as strategies to help make change possible.

The goal of treatment is to build a “life worth living".

DBT has saved my life many times and I have made long lasting friendships! I am a big advocate for NAMI and always talk about how DBT has saved my life when sharing my story.

We all participate in the Walk for different reasons; some may walk to celebrate their own recovery. Some walkers are supporting family members or friends who live with a mental illness. Some may walk in memory of a loved one. The Walk is an important way to help fight the stigma of mental illness, and demonstrate our support to the community.

The other side of the Walk is the money we raise. Over 90% of the funds raised by the Walk go to support the signature programs that we provide at no charge to participants.

Be a part of the Walk donating or joining my Team, creating your own Team or by making a donation TODAY!

NAMI Connecticut thanks you for the extra effort you are dedicating to helping those affected by mental illness.
