We are Team Family 2 Family – your Family to Family instructors of NAMI Southwest CT!

We are very excited about this year’s NAMI Walk. For the very first time, NAMI Connecticut is conducting Walks in two locations; one in Hartford and one right here in Fairfield County at Sherwood Island State Park, Westport CT.

Why donate?

I am sure many of you know that NAMI is comprised almost entirely by volunteers, with one thing in common: our families have been affected by a loved one with a mental illness.

I am also sure you know that NAMI Walk is our one and only nationwide fund raiser. The funds raised by this Walk are used locally to continue NAMI Connecticut’s life changing, no cost Support, Education and Advocacy efforts.

In the last year alone, NAMI Southwest CT has:

1. Conducted seven 12-week Family to Family courses, graduating over 110 family caregivers desperate to learn about mental illness, develop coping skills and empowering them to become advocates for their family members
2. Led four 6-week NAMI Basics classes for parents and other family caregivers of children and adolescents who have developed a mental health condition
3. Provided Support Groups every month in Greenwich (2 groups), Stamford (2 groups), Darien, Norwalk, Westport, New Canaan, Wilton and Ridgefield

NAMI Connecticut provides all materials and all services are provided completely free of charge by trained volunteers.

This year, NAMI Connecticut set a goal to raise $150,000 and our Team goal is $2,500.
