My team is named after my son, Patrick, who was first diagnosed with mental illness when he was 13. He has been struggling with it for 16 years now. I want to raise awareness about mental illness and erase stigma. The stigma surrounding mental illness is still out there despite our efforts. I am committed to letting people know that mental illness is very common and should be treated just like any other medical illness.
