Bella Champ Edwards was a True Champion in Life.
Our Journey together began on January 28, 2012 when we decided to take Lady Bronte to Doggie Palooza. We wanted to check out the K-9 show, check out the vendors, and buy Bronte a whole bunch of stuff (as if she needed more spoiling). What we didn't expect on that Perfect Day was to get Bronte a Lil' Sister. We walked into the event and immediately saw a dog that I thought would be a good fit for our household, adorbes! However, as fate would have it, Garrick went to look at photos of pups that were availabe at the event, saw Champ E's pic- and felt an instant connection. Little did he know that as he was looking at Champ E, a lady was telling me that there was another dog that would be better for me and brought Champ E out. Upon first meeting us, Champ nudged GFL, (Grandma Food Lady) aka Mommy Lina and was like "Hey!" She then walked up to Bronte nudged her nose like "Hey" and gave her a head nod. Bronte was not impressed to say the least, she was like "Ewww, who is this? what is this?" LOL I wasn't so sure about this character, although I thought, now that we've met her, we HAVE to take her home, so I asked G what he thought and he was like yeah, let's take her. Funny thing was was that as G took her for a walk (bc they just handed us her leash and were like take her and walk around with her...who does that? lol), she was only interested in looking for FOOD! So from the very start we ALWAYS knew how much Champ E Girl LOVED Food. Needless to say, we never made it into the actual event and Champ E gained a Sissy who she loved, and we all gained a Lil' One as we called her. For the next 11 years (4 days short of 11), She was Our Healer, Our Lil' Love, a Lil' and Big Sissy (to Princess Buttercup) and most importantly Our Child bc LOVE IS LOVE. Now She is Our Lil' Angel as she has joined her Sissy, Bronte Angel in Heaven.
We have been on many adventures together throughout the years. As we write this, through the bittersweet tears, we can't help but Thank God and feel Grateful for having gone to that event that day bc that day became one of the best days of our lives and was the beginning of "The Girls" and our Foursome.
We dedicate this Walk to Our Champ E and hope to raise funds to help the animals of the HSBC in her Honor. Last time we walked in this event Champ E was present to honor Our Bronte Angel. Princess Buttercup will join us in remembrance of "The Girls" this time around. We Thank You ALL in advance for donating time, money, goods or for sending positive energy/prayers and Love to all the sentient beings at this shelter and others. Though we rescued Champ E from The Humane Society of Greater Miami, we did rescue Bronte Angel and Buttercup E from this shelter.
