We are a non profit company that supports developmentally, intellectually, and mentally disabled adult in all areas of life.

We are asking for personal donations from $1 to $100 or more from people in your community. The monies will go towards our Navigating Life program which is attached above in PDF file. In short, this program assists our staff in helping the individuals assimilate into the community in a variety of ways with real time data and tracking. It will assist them recreationally, vocationally, medically, etc. It not only benefits our individuals and staff but also the families who can communicate and monitor with their children’s either day or night in real time.

Helping the disabled to come out of their shell challenge:

I will:  

• Jump in the freezing cold winter ocean with my clothes on for every $1,000 raised.

• Wrap body parts in shrink wrap for every $100 raised.

• A lap for every $50 raised.

• A sit up for every $5 raised.

• I will do a pushup for every $1 raised.

   

I started in this field approximately 8 years ago and am the Clinical & Human Rights Coordinator for NuPath Inc. Working with the disabled has been a joy for my colleagues and I from that time to now. This joy we would like to briefly share with you here as well as have you experience it at our annual walk if you are able to attend. What is that joy you may ask?

It is the joy that we receive when we see our individuals interacting with others in the community as they are enabled to do their part. One aspect of this is seen with their honesty and genuineness. Another aspect is seen in their caring and willing spirit to support one another, their staff, and people in the community. This joy is also realized for us and them as well, when they have obtained the prize for overcoming their different adversities. These adversities range from tying their shows, to learning sign language, to getting a full time job in the community. This also includes them vigorously working in just about every volunteer community program. The last thing that brings us the greatest joy is the way that they inspire in others a greater appreciation and value for life and its simple blessings and natural benefits.

So we invite you the community, your friends, your family, and all, to come, and join us at NuPath in supporting the disabled to come out of their shell and run their race!!! Come to the walk, and experience the joy that is found in our individuals, as you support them in fulfilling their goal to be a part of our community.
