Experience What It's Like To Walk A Mile During The Coldest Time of Year

The Warm Soles Night Walk is a fundraiser campaign by Supportive Housing Campaign that that gives participants a first-hand experience of what it's like to navigate the colder months of the year unhoused.

The community walk through Queens University will take place on Saturday, February 22nd at 5p as the sun sets and the frigid air of the night sets in. Participants will immerse themselves in real stories, a powerful mission moment, and illuminated visuals that display the harsh realities of living unhoused during the winter.

There are currently 3,311 unhoused people in Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, a 33% increase over last year. With the economical strain and lack of affordable housing, we are seeing an alarming increase of families facing evictions during a time where the temperatures are dropping.
