Women Swimming 2024.MyStory

On 23 October 2023, David Baldwin, the father of my children and my partner for close to 40 years, died of cancer in an intensive care unit.  The end came too quickly, and we were unprepared.  We were not able to experience the loving care and support of Hospicare.  I am swimming this year to celebrate life in this beautiful land of Gayogoho:no geh, and to support and raise awareness for the wonderful work of Hospicare. 
I also want to take this opportunity to again thank all those who helped me to raise funds for Hospicare through last year’s Women Swimming Event.  Unfortunately, stormy weather caused a cancellation of that event.  My swimming partner and fantastic neighbor, Cathy Emilian, and I promised to try again in 2024, and here we are!
