Why I'm Swimming' (again)!

I'm so glad to have another chance to swim across Cayuga Lake with other amazing women in support of hospicare. Last year was cancelled due to poor weather, so crossing all my toes and fingers we can swim this year!

I'm carrying forward my intentions from last year, to swim in honor of my Grandpa who was a Navy guy and really benefited from hospice workers who made his last days easy, peaceful, and comfortable. I'm also swimming to support the right to comfortable and compassionate care for end of life - both for those dying and their loved ones. I have so much respect and gratitude for those who choose to volunteer and work to see this a reality.
