Honoring my mother

I am swimming 1.2 miles across Cayuga Lake to honor my mother, Louise Anna Cahill, who died on May 18th 2024 at the age of 95.  She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to all who knew her.  My Mom was also a skilled and compassionate nurse who worked in a variety on settings while always providing the highest level of care to her patients.

I've been a supporter and  volunteer for Hospicare since moving to Ithaca in 1992.  The compassionate care provided by the staff and volunteers has touched the lives of so many people in our community.

I am so grateful to this organization for the services they provide each and every day.
