This is Liz's story:

I was welcomed into this world by my Mom, Dad, Brother and Sister and a delightful assortment of family and friends. Having the support and love of those family and friends helped me to become the person I am today and the one I will grow to be. When it comes time for me to take my leave of this world, I can only hope I have family and friends by my side. 

I swim for Hospicare because, especially at the end of life, we all deserve the love and support of those who care about us. Hospice does just that for so many and their families.

Grandma was part of my life from the very beginning. She showered love on me in ways I didn't even know were special at the time! For example, when I laid down to rest because I was sick or tired, she would tuck me in with a blanket in a way that made me feel cherished to my very soul. It was such a simple act of making sure the blanket was secured and cozy but it was an act that translated as love in its simplest of languages. This matriarch of my grand family passed on from this world, with the help of Hospicare, 2/19/1923-12/5/2022
