I am dedicating this swim to my mom, Louise Kinney. She was cared for by the extraordinary people at Hospicare in Ithaca. The residence and all of the care providers within provided a safe and comforting space for my mom and for our family to be together throughout her final days. We are forever grateful. 

This will be my 2nd swim. My first was 10 years ago. I swam for my dad, who passed away months before at Aurora House, a hospice residence in Spencerport, NY. 

Hospice services are invaluable, all people deserve access to end of life care that provides compassion, comfort and dignity. I know both of my parents would want to thank all of the hospice volunteers and care providers that were there for them and for us. So, in support of hospice services and in honor of my parents, I swim.
