Staci Nugent Dives In

On August 10th, I will be swimming 1.2 miles across the shark and seaweed infested waters of Cayuga Lake to raise money for Hospicare.  One of the deeper Finger Lakes, Cayuga Lake is a dark abyss, and I am terrified to be swimming above 435 feet of unknown lake creatures.  I'm also concerned about not being able to swim for over a mile, since I can't even remember the last time I've swum even 50 feet. 

But I've been training now, doing laps at Cass Park and getting into the lake with friends. The lake isn't as scary as it was in my head. I've got this.

I'm swimming for my good friend Christina, who works at Hospicare, and for all the folks whose lives were made better by this wonderful organization. Please join me in supporting Hospicare!
