I’m raising money for Easter Seals Greater Houston, and this organization is really close to my heart.

I’m walking in memory of Sarah—someone who showed up for this event every single year and truly believed in what it stood for. She didn’t just walk, she walked with purpose. She did it in honor of my nephew, my father, and my mother—but more than anything, she believed deeply in inclusion for everyone. This was one of her favorite events, and it doesn’t feel the same without her, but I know she’d want us to keep going.

I’m participating in Walk With Me because I believe every person—no matter their ability—deserves support, opportunity, and a strong community behind them. For over 75 years, Easter Seals Greater Houston has been doing exactly that.

They help veterans transition back to civilian life, support babies and toddlers with developmental delays, create safe and joyful spaces for children with disabilities, and give teens with autism the tools they need to succeed and feel confident stepping into the workforce. These are real, life-changing services for thousands of families right here in Houston.

The reality is that 1 in 5 Americans lives with a disability. That means this touches all of us—our friends, our families, our neighbors. We all know someone has or had needed assistance.  This is why I’m walking.
