If you don't know why I am riding for the cause, here is my why. My wife wrote this for me during my first 100 Wave Challenge...

As some of you know, Jason’s dad left this earth during a crucial time for a young dude — he was just 13.  You can imagine how different life might have been without a father during those important teenage & self-esteem building years, turning from a boy to a man. Jason was lucky to have his wonderful stepdad Dave come into the picture in his early adulthood, but the gap of no father-figure was impactful, and even caused him some short-term memory issues.

Boys to Men Mentoring is a wonderful, non-profit organization that helps to shape boys without fathers or positive male role models into confident and successful young men. 73% of the boys in the program are fatherless. Through the support of group meetings and mentoring, boys are increasing their self-esteem & confidence, getting better grades in school, far less likely to drop out and even going to college. 

We all know Jason is an amazing husband, father, and all-around stand-up guy, but the support of a program like this would have made the world of difference in overcoming one of the toughest times in his life. And that’s why he’s riding for the cause!
