GRATEFUL! That is the theme of my fundraising page this year. I'm so grateful that mid-Michigan has a progressive, compassionate, and responsible shelter where homeless pets wait to find their forever families. And what a wonderful staff and group of volunteers we have, giving of themselves every day with little or no recognition of the fabulous job they do, caring for the animals and providing them with food, shelter, medicine and the most important of all, LOVE.
I'm also thankful that Capital Area Humane Society provides much-needed services, including spay/neuter, vaccinations and food bank for those less fortunate than us. And did you know there are educational programs available for almost all ages? Taxi and I just spent some time with the summer camp kids, giving them information about puppy mills and the importance of adoption.
With all this to be grateful for, how can I forget MY AWESOME FRIENDS who donate every year to help CAHS continue their mission? That's right, I am thankful for YOU, and of course my extremely generous husband Dick, who has agreed to match donations I get on this page (up to $2000.) If you don't feel comfortable making an on-line pledge, I will be more than happy to personally deliver cash or checks (made out to Capital Area Humane Society) to the shelter for you.
