2020 Anschutz-Hunt Challenge Series ○ AHCS: "Pathways to College" Challenge
I have been supporting Mile High 360 for 12 years - as a volunteer, as a mentor, a board member, and as a donor - and will continue to do so because MH360 delivers on its mission and is providing unparelled support for its students and their families in this exceptionally difficult time.
As we know, access to quality educational resources - from school to enrichment resources - is neither universally accessible nor equitably distributed.
The path from middle school to career and life success is filled with challenges for every student, but particularly those with the fewest resources.
This is where Mile High 360 steps in.
Mile High 360 is a comprehensive, wrap-around services program designed to provide first-generation college bound students with after-school, weekend and summer access to essential out-of-school resources in three core areas.
This support is not for a month, a year, or for all of middle school. It is 13 consecutive years of support - from 6th grade through age 24. I have been involved for 12 years and have grown up with these students, with my mentee, Emily. The experience of being so involved has been life changing for me and for the students.
On top of all that Mile High 360 does, we just opened up a remote learning support center, where students come for supervised support, meals, and access to the technology they need to participate in online classes.
And, with the help of a new grant from the Healthy Food for Denver's Kids committee, Mile High 360 is also supporting families, directly, through a food services program. We now provide food for all of our families in need and wrap that support in cooking and nutrition classes.
Please join me in supporting Mile High 360 Students!
100% of your contribution will be used to fund student programming.
Thanks,
Chris
