I was diagnosed with cancer when I was only 18 months old back in February of 2001. My family had only lived in our beloved Henrico home (that we still live in today) for just a few months before our lives were changed forever. I have learned to navigate the world with two hearing aids and have been gifted with so much love and support from my friends, families, and loved ones. Having this experience has taught me to continue living my best life even when times are hard. Now, 23 years later, I am in my mid-twenties in the working world and continuing to look for ways to advocate for the ASK Foundation and children who are like me.
Thank you for the opportunity to share my story with you and for being a champion for Virginia’s youngest cancer patients, survivors and their families.
