Sadly I have 6 friends/colleagues who have children with some form of childhood cancer. I was directed to Connor's Heroes, an organization that provides support directly to the children and families going through treatment. Maddie and I started volunteering for their art sessions this past May, and have LOVED getting to know some of the children undergoing treatment. Charlotte is one of those kids, and in true small-world fashion, her brother is one of my band students.


