Sadly I have multiple friends/colleagues who have children with some form of childhood cancer. I was directed to Connor's Heroes, an organization that provides support directly to the children and families going through treatment. Maddie and I started volunteering for their art sessions this past May, and have LOVED getting to know the children undergoing treatment. Charlotte is a hero and in true small-world fashion, her brother is one of my band students.
