I’m participating in AIDS Walk because I believe people living with HIV/AIDS deserve care, dignity, and support without stigma.
Through my work in counseling and wellness, I’ve seen how much shame, misinformation, and lack of access can impact someone’s health and quality of life. HIV is treatable, people can live full and healthy lives, and yet too many still face judgment, barriers to medication, and unnecessary fear from others.
I’m walking to support prevention, education, treatment access, and the community organizations doing the work year-round. This cause matters because people matter, especially when the world tries to reduce them to a diagnosis.
