SILENCE IS NOT AN OPTION
The Honolulu AIDS Walk was born from a moment when silence cost lives.
In 2026, that truth remains. HIV is treatable, but there is still no cure. At the same time, transgender people are being erased from public life, LGBTQIA+ rights are being challenged, harm reduction is under attack, and public health funding is being slashed. These realities are not separate — they are deeply connected.
Silence enables stigma.
Silence delays care.
Silence allows harm to spread unchecked.
The Honolulu AIDS Walk exists because our communities have never survived by staying quiet. This Walk is not a tradition we repeat, it is a commitment we renew.
