LCDBF 2026

Our community teams (those formed for the purpose of this event only) are the heart of our Festival. You raise money individually and as teams and then head out in a dragon boat with 16 paddlers and a drummer to race our 200 meter race course along the Burlington waterfront. You paddle in synch alongside your family, friends, or co-workers for about one minute in each of your races, believing that "you can do anything for one minute!!!" The Festival aims to support cancer-focused organizations in our local community through this fundraising event that also happens to be a fun day on the water! Our two benefactors in 2026 are:

Dragonheart Vermont strives to strengthen and empower breast cancer survivors & supporters through the challenging sport of dragon boating instilling in its members the values of teamwork, fitness & community giving.

The Cancer Patient Support Foundation provides emergency financial assistance and support to cancer patients in Vermont who need help paying for basic living expenses during treatment. Read more about our Festival Pledge Partner here.
