Hello, friends! My name is Max Cavada. I am a 3rd year rider missionary for Biking for Babies, and this is my 2nd year as a team leader. This year I am the team leader for the Minnesota Route! I am from Mechanicsburg, PA, but I am currently finishing up my mechanical engineering degree at Penn State, and I plan to move to Pittsburgh for work this summer. I love playing the guitar and singing, as well as spending time with my friends, exploring the outdoors, playing softball, and of course, biking!
I joined Biking for Babies 3 years ago mostly on a whim because I am pro-life and like biking, but the mission has become so much more than that to me. In fact, this mission has far much less to do with biking than one might think. The reason I keep coming back to Biking for Babies is because it has taught me the power of redemptive suffering. That is the true mission of Biking for Babies. Every training ride I go on when the weather is bad or I don't have the energy, every outreach I make to someone I worry will judge me, every time I get hurt or have a bike issue on a ride, can all be offered up for a mother in crisis pregnancy, a father supporting her, or a child in danger of being aborted. Offering my sufferings up in this way has really helped me deepen my faith. I truly believe that what I offer in this mission is being used by God to help heal our world and revive a culture of life. We can all play our part in this mission. The world needs as many pro-life warriors as it can get. If for no other reason than God created us and loves us, life is worth defending!
Join me in Biking for Babies' mission by making a gift towards my fundraising campaign. Your gift supports our mission to renew the culture of life by forming young adult missionaries and raising awareness and funds for pregnancy resource centers that support pregnant women across the country.
