2026 Nemours Children's Health Walk & Run Delaware Valley

I am very excited to be participating in the Nemours Children's Health Run & Walk on October 18, 2026, running in honor of my son Theo. I'm part of a team working together to reach $5,000, which will unlock dedicated funding for the Nemours Cardiac Center. The skill and compassion of the cardiac team in the CICU and on 2B made all the difference for our family, and I want to help make that same expert care possible for other kids and families facing a heart diagnosis.

As a nurse I've spent my career on the other side of medicine. I've spent years treating critically ill patients, helping them regain their health and get back to their lives and families outside of the hospital. Nothing could have prepared me for what it's like to be the parent, watching your own child go through this journey as a patient in the ICU. Theo's own experience with congenital heart disease is exactly why I'm so passionate about this team, and why I know firsthand what a gift like yours can mean to a family. No parent wants to watch their child suffer. But if there was one thing that brought some comfort to our mind it was knowing that we were in the best place for him to be treated.
