We are very excited to be participating in the Nemours Children's Health Run & Walk on October 18, 2026 to raise funds for Nemours Children's Health, Neurology Department.
I’m not sure how to thank the organization that gave Katie her quality of life back - but I know I can’t do it alone. I’m asking for your help.
Nemours isn’t just where Katie gets treatment. When we didn’t know what her seizures even were, and our old hospital said we could come in seven months later, Nemours saw us that week. When tests looked like she had a brain tumor, they admitted her immediately to get to the bottom of it. And when they had to explain to two scared parents what tuberous sclerosis complex was - they did so with empathy and every resource we needed.
They did everything to get her seizures under control. When the FDA approved medicine didn’t work - and risky surgery looked like the only option - they found the clinical trial that got her seizures controlled. And when our insurance company tried to cut Katie off of her care - Nemours stepped up in a big way.
They didn’t just treat Katie. They gave her a normal life back.
So now it’s time to thank them in a small way, and we need your help.
