Mishika Narula's Fundraising Page
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page - it means a lot to me!
A little background on why I am requesting your support:
My name is Mishika Narula, and I am one of the co-chairs of the Northern Suburban Special Recreation Association (NSSRA) Associate Board. I hope you will consider a donation to support the build of NSSRA's new HQ in Highland Park, IL.
NSSRA is currently operating out of a small building in an industrial park, with limited office space and little to no room for visitors or for participants to gather. The location is unsafe, unfit for the association's needs, and is nowhere near as warm and welcoming as the staff and participants it houses. With the renovation of this new building, NSSRA will have the ability to appropriately serve children and adults with special needs, their families, and staff.
Proudly, nearly $2M of the $2.2M goal has been raised to-date through private donations. Now it is time to bring the campaign to as many people as possible to help get across the finish line and start the renovation process. Please consider a contribution of any size to help make it happen.
I am grateful for your consideration to support a campaign that will make an immeasurable impact on hundreds of families as they look forward to a new place to play, learn, and grow! Thank you.
A brief look at my journey with NSSRA:
In 2010, I started volunteering with NSSRA, providing support to kids with special needs enrolled in a swimming therapy and autism movement therapy program. Shortly after I was introduced to NSSRA, I started Power of Pops. I raised over $30,000 for the organization by baking and selling cake pops from 2010-2014. I currently serve as the co-chair of NSSRA's Associate Board, which I started in 2019 with Jordan Synnestvedt.
