NSSRA needs our help!
Hi! My name is Jordan Synnestvedt and I am one of the Co-Chairs of the NSSRA Associate Board. I hope you will consider a donation supporting the build of NSSRA's new HQ building in Highland Park, IL.
Until now, NSSRA has been operating out of a small building in an industrial park, with limited office space and little to no room for visitors or for participants to gather. The location is unsafe, unfit for the association's needs and is nowhere near as warm and welcoming as the staff and participants it houses! With the renovation of this new building, NSSRA will have the ability to appropriately serve participants, their families and its staff.
I first got involved with NSSRA in 2016 after graduating from college. I cannot begin to describe to you the impact that this association and these participants have had on my life for the better! I have learned more about inclusion, patience, care and support than I ever could have without becoming involved. I can at least hope that these participants were positively impacted by my friendship, but I can tell you with confidence that they have impacted mine with theirs. This community deserves this new space more than I've known anyone to deserve anything and I am dedicated to supporting this new build however I can - I hope you can support by my side.
There's lots of work to do! In order for this space to function appropriately, huge renovations need to take place. Once complete, this facility will have wheelchair accessible bathrooms, ample rec space, a working kitchen, a fitness center, a lively front lobby, a safe and accessible bus lane in the parking lot and offices for staff, to name a few. Any donation you can give, large or small, will have tremendous impact on the many members of this wonderful community! I hope you can envision how incredible this space will be once complete and the smiles that will appear on our participant's faces when they take their first step inside their new home!
Thank you in advance!
